Why me? I had a phone call from a buyer who wanted to see one of my listings. I showed him the house and it did not meet his needs. I offered to show him some other hsoues, and he said fine. We then had a meeting to duscuss the buying process. At that time he told me he did not think he needed a Realtor. He said he would work with the listing agent.
I went on to discuss buyer representation with him. I told him that when a buyer signs a buyer agreement with me it puts a legal responsibilty on me to see, smell, and know more. If he likes the green space next door, then I am the person responsible to check out that green space. I don't call the listing agent to find out about it, I check the city's 100 year comprehensive plan to see what that space is intended to be used for. Jim told me his last Realty opened doors for him
