It has been a tough past week. Being in real estate and trying to help people manage their finances, I am so aware of how tough this week has been.
This is the start of a new week and here are my suggestions for today.
1) Don't read the paper except for the comics. The ads will depress you as that is more money you don't have to spend and the sports page will only get your blood pressure up.
2) Only watch or listen to the Vikings if they are winning. Be a fair weather fan and go do something else with your time if they are going to spoil your day by playing poorly.
3) Make a meal from scratch and give your body a break for all that other kind of food you eat.
4) Send a note or card to a friend. Do not email them. Think how special it will be when they go to their mail and get a real piece of mail and not junk mail or a bill. Tell them they make you feel good and you will make them feel good.
5) Listen to the outdoors and take the I pod out of your ears. Silence and natural noises give your ears a break.
6) Take your dog for a walk. If you don't have a dog take yourself for a walk. You will be amazed how much tension goes out of your body doing this.
7) Lay on your back and study the clouds. Find shapes in the clouds and make stories out of them. Your imagination is more powerful than any movie or t.v show you can watch.

I think you are ready to face the next week. I know I will be.
