Social networking is an interesting idea. It started out as the "cool" thing for teenagers to do, it spread to the 20+, and now anyone in business is being encouraged to do social networking. Last week I went to a seminar to help Realtors use the internet to secure business. The push at this seminar was social networking. They went through all the types and why it is important to set-up these networks. Many of us who had been in the business for years were skeptical. Why would I be interested in finding my high school class mates? I am not the reunion time and I can't remember the last time I sang our class song. I went home from the seminar and thought about what they were asking me to do. They wanted me to get out of my comfort zone and try something new. I got on the internet and started joining several social networking groups. I am waiting for all my "friend" from the past to ask me to join with them on being friends through space. I don't know where this will go, but I am giving it a try. I do know this, I spend about 30 to 60 minutes a day now updating my blogs, and tweeters, and I don't know what else. Be patient with me, I am new at this.
