It is now past the 4th of July and to me that means summer is half over. It just can't be! It has not been hot enough, the lake water is too cold to swim in, and we have not cooked often enough on the grill.
It must be part of the aging process, but each year summer goes faster and faster. The days are longer due to all the daylight, but still we can't get enough summer fun in. It is hard to choose from walks, bike rides, a swim at the pool, a game of golf, camping, a cook out, a boat ride, summer outdoor projects, it goes on. All of a sudden it won't be light at 9:00 any longer, slime will be on the lakes. and we will know summer is fading.
This summer my days have flown by due to the real estate market. December 1st seems so far away, but in my world it is coming fast and the $8,000 rebate for first time buyers will be gone. My days are busy helping these buyers see properties, write an offer, have the inspection, get to closing, and then hand over the keys to them. Most nights I am not home till after 9:00. I love this activity and want to help all these buyers get closed before the time is up. Friday many buyers had the day off due the 4th of July, and we were out seeing houses.
I will have to celebrate summer later. Now is the time to buy these houses. All that summer fun will be there later. Fun is seeing a buyer plan their future garden and hearing them talk about that first grilling experience.
